On the historical grounds of the old Londinum, a new commercial building was erected: The Plantation Place – an edifice which enjoys great popularity, being one of London's highest buildings. The fully glazed atrium incarnates two great sensations: space and light. Crystal-like glass fins act as a privacy measure, whilst imparting a sensation of magical illumination.

One special feature in the Plantation Place Atrium area is the unique use of laminated vertical glazing fins, within which the middle pane was shattered in a controlled process during production to create the 'crystal'-effect, which was the ARUP architects' desire. The outer glass panes of each fin however, remain smooth and crystalline. Seele's other works for the Plantation Place also include the 1st floor atrium glazing (250m²) – a 15m long glazing link bridge, the lower atrium area from level 2 to level 6 (1850m²), the Balustrade / Crystal Room (1200m²), the upper atrium area from level 7 to level 9 (530m²), and finally the escalator facade with several glazed doors (220m²).
